Furthur

Credit: Julie Pimentel, FlickrCCFormer Grateful Dead members Bob Weir and Phil Lesh started Furthur in 2009 with John Kadlecik on guitar, Jeff Chimenti on keyboards, Jay Lane on percussion and Joe Russo on drums. The band is named after the psychedelic International Harvester bus driven across country by Ken Kesey and his Merry Pranksters in the mid 1960s. The band played mostly Grateful Dead material but also covers and a few originals. In 2014 the band broke up although its members continue to make music together in various forms.
