Joe Russo’s Almost Dead formed in 2013 to cover Grateful Dead songs and play other related music, and is regarded as one of the best bands to explode out of the post-Dead diaspora. Band members include: Joe Russo, Dave Dreiwitz, Marco Benevento, Scott Metzger and Tom Hamilton.
