English rock and roll powerhouse Led Zeppelin formed in 1968 and single-handedly laid the groundwork for the hard rock and heavy metal music that would soon dominate the FM airwaves. After hugely successful tours and albums, the group broke up in 1980 following the sudden death of their drummer Bonzo. Band members included: John Paul Jones, John Bonham, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant.
