Oteil Burbridge

Oteil Burbridge is one bad-ass bass player. He is well know for laying down the bottom for the resurgence of the Allman Brothers Band (1997-2014) and as a founding member of Dead & Company. Burbridge also was a founding member of The Aquarium Rescue Unit, and has worked with other musicians including Bruce Hampton, Trey Anastasio, Page McConnell, Bill Kreutzmann and The Derek Trucks Band, where his brother Kofi Burbridge played keyboards and flute.
In 2017 he formed Oteil & Friends and hit the road as a bandleader (and bassist) for a series of highly regarded live shows featuring Melvin Seals on keyboards & vocals, John Kadlecik on guitar & vocals, Eric Krasno on guitar & vocals, Jay Lane on drums, Alfreda Gerald on vocals and Weedie Braimah on percussion.
And make sure to check out a much younger Oteil acting in the 1979 Peter Sellers film Being There…
