Polyrhythmics

Polyrhythmics is a dynamic and genre-defying instrumental band from Seattle, Washington, known for its unique blend of funk, Afrobeat, jazz, and psychedelic rock influences. Formed in 2010, the group quickly gained a reputation for its tight, groove-driven sound and impressive live performances. Over the years, Polyrhythmics has developed a distinctive style characterized by complex rhythms, rich harmonies, and a powerful horn section, drawing comparisons to legendary bands like Fela Kuti’s Africa 70 and The Meters.

The band consists of a talented lineup of musicians: Ben Bloom (guitar), Grant Schroff (drums), Jason Gray (bass), Nathan Spicer (keyboards), Art Brown (saxophone, flute), Elijah Clark (trombone), Scott Morning (trumpet), and Karl Olson (percussion). Each member brings a diverse range of musical influences, contributing to the band’s eclectic sound.
