Formed by Duane Allman in Jacksonville, FL in 1969, the Allman Brothers Band went on to become one of the top grossing live acts of the 1970s and continued jamming in one form or another until Gregg Allman’s death in 2017. The band’s fiery and long live shows would make audience members’ heads spin and ears ring for weeks on end. Band members include: Duane Allman, Gregg Allman, Dickie Betts, Berry Oakley, Butch Trucks, Jai Johanny “Jaimoe” Johanson and later Dan Toler, Lamar Williams, Allen Woody, Oteil Burbridge, Warren Haynes, Jimmy Herring, Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks.
